Meet Your Coach

Hello, my name is Michaela, founder of Green Shoots Coaching, I am a qualified Coach through The Oxford School of Coaching and Mentoring (OCM) and a member of The European Coaching and Mentoring Council (EMCC).

I had worked in the Corporate, financial, Insurance and Retail sectors for nearly 20 years, mainly in Learning and Development as a Training Consultant with Santander and latterly as a Professional Development Manager, Coaching and managing the professional community within Aviva a leading Insurance provider.  Coaching individuals and teams and watching them develop and grow has always been the most rewarding aspect of my work.  Although I loved my job I found that business direction was giving me less and less opportunities to Coach.  After a series of conversations and with the support of my own Coach I decided to make a bold move, leave the world of employment and set up my own business.  After so many years of paid employment this was one of the scariest things I have ever done. 

The thing that made it easy was the absolute knowledge that this was what I was meant to do, it felt right.  This has given me a particular interest and empathy for working with those seeking to make similar changes in their lives, particularly when it is seemingly impossible, it isn't.  I am also a busy working wife and mother and fully appreciate the challenges this presents to families in today's busy world.
